Background of the Study:
Strategic communications are increasingly critical in managing crises and shaping diplomatic responses. In Kaduna State, digital media campaigns have emerged as powerful tools in crisis diplomacy, enabling rapid dissemination of information, countering misinformation, and mobilizing public support during emergencies (Ibrahim, 2023). This study investigates how strategic digital communications influence crisis management and diplomatic negotiations by examining recent digital media campaigns. The research explores the integration of social media, online news platforms, and mobile technology in crisis response strategies. It analyzes the effectiveness of these campaigns in building public trust, enhancing transparency, and facilitating dialogue between government agencies and affected communities. By drawing on case studies, content analysis, and stakeholder interviews, the study assesses the role of digital media in crisis diplomacy and its impact on policy outcomes. The findings highlight both the opportunities and challenges presented by digital communications, including issues related to credibility, information overload, and cybersecurity (Chukwu, 2024). Statement of the problem:
Despite the potential of digital media campaigns to enhance crisis diplomacy, Kaduna State faces significant challenges in executing effective strategic communications. Inconsistent messaging, fragmented digital platforms, and the rapid spread of misinformation can undermine crisis management efforts (Okafor, 2023). This study seeks to identify these obstacles and evaluate how digital media can be optimized to improve crisis diplomacy and support effective policy responses during emergencies.
